Florida

A few weeks ago our little family met up with my extended family for a long weekend in Orlando. We hit Disney -- which spurred an Ariel obsession with the girl (yikes!).

You may notice that we have no photos of "live" characters from Disney. Those of you that have been to a park in the last 20 years probably know this, but I was shocked: you have to wait in lines to see any "live" characters. An hour for a 2 year old is not an option. Luckily, Claire LOVED the statues and paintings of Dumbo, Pooh Bear, Mickey... pretty much anything that was smiling!

We also made a trip to Lego Land (please notewhat happens to limbs post Lego obsession; as modeled by Claire and Cousin Brodey).

All of this theme park fun resulted from our primary purpose in FL -- to celebrate The Grant Wedding. To everyone else this would be the wedding of Jaime and Doug, but to all of us Hunts it was long-time family friends The Grant Wedding. We have all known Jaime from the time she and (now Uncle) Casey pulled flowers from a neighbor's lawn and then sold them back to her (before kindergarten -- don't worry, this wasn't when they were too old for this to be as cute as it was mortifying for my parents)! The Grants have a special place in all of our hearts, so we had to be at The Grant Wedding. Claire had a fantastic time eating chocolates before dinner and dancing the night away with Cole (Joanna Grant's super cutie). We all had a fantastic time!

Yummy! Grandma and Claire have matching Mickey ice cream.

Suddenly our home-built Lego creations don't seem as impressive. Lucky for us Claire still pretends to be pleased by our attempts to build houses and beds for her stuffed dogs.

When you lean on Legos....

You get Lego legs...

and Lego arms!

Claire's 1st Shirley Temple "it's sour"

Claire took Grandpa on a tour of the hotel.

Claire offered to help everyone eat their chocolates.

Crab bisque -- why don't we have this at home?

Grandma and Grandpa looking fancy!

A rare picture with the brothers! Casey, me and Brian.
